-36°C this morning. not so sweet but really pretty. when you pour water at minus forty, the water freezes before it hits the ground. that gives you some perspective. im certainly not going to sacrifice my health out there in pretty & freezing clothes.. i did some nice shopping today though..

my room is currently empty. there's a minor renovation going on which i find a bit ridiculous since i reckon this is the last winter im gonna spend in this coldness.. oh well. i can show you the result at some point.

First of all I had no clue that Mango ships to Finland. I rarely visit the store in Helsinki but my eyes noticed their satisfying collection of bags, shoes and such quite recently when I got my pair of black heels from sale. I did some beauty shopping with a friend of mine last night. I got so inspired that I thought I would share some products of my preference.

For washing Ive used Natuvive Olive Fresh Cleansing Mousse for a long time. It just works. I lack a toner at the moment but Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is the best facial lotion. Not to forget Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream for lips, cuticles and everything.

Aussie hair products are great and so is Tigi's Rockaholic Leave-In Detangler & Defrizzer for post-treatment.

Biotherm Aquaradiance was my must-foundation but it's currently unavailable. Therefore I bought Lumene's Hydra Drops Moisturizing Foundation and Beauty Base Crystal Radiance Primer. The latter is worth buying for sure. I tend mix them, but prior to that I apply Lumene Beauty Base Red Neutralizer on my cheeks. It seems to last for ages. Powder of my choise is Chanel Vitalumiére Èclat. It also lasts for ages and it comes with a good brush.

My bronzer is Maybelline Terra Sun Bronzing Powder whereas Gosh Bronzing Shimmer Powder (002 PINK) works as a blusher. I use Clarins Multi-Blush Raspberry on my cheeks and lips occasionally.

Clinique All About Eyes is a must and so are Sensai 38°C Mascara and Liquid Eyeliner (brown). Lumene Mineral Eyebrown Pencil is great for my eyebrows.

The best eyeshadow ever is Chanel Ombre Essentielle (45 safari). Perfect shade! Honestly speaking it's all I need, but still a light shade gives a good contrast when it's applied close to eyebrows.

MAC goes wherever I go.

You saw this Zara bag in the previous post. And I think you've been seeing it around for the last seven months or so. I laid my eyes on it last summer. Indeed Im more of a bag person rather than a shoe person. I really wanted to buy it back then and although the price wasn't even ridiculous I somehow decided to torture myself. Unfortunately this skirt does not fit me perfectly since it's a bit baggy. The size is too big which is quite weird cause usually Im a 36 but this time around I need one size smaller. Indeed the leather skirt runs in a bigger size. Usually leather stretches a bit as well. I'd like to sell it for a cheaper prize. Ive tried it on about two or three times but never worn it. Ok sweet. Unfortunately several things cannot be bought and yet it's difficult to imagine the very situation for the time being. Therefore Im gonna list five things which I would get for myself right now if had some extra savings.

do you still remember my twentyten? that year was epic! and by the beginning of the current year i knew this year, most likely, wouldn't be the same.. i cannot say i was wrong but i must pull back some words cause this year has been better than i expected. i won't go into too much detail about my private life which has always been another story, but yet everything's just fine.

january.

on the new years eve i was with good friends.. and then spent some quality time with another amazing girl in Tampere... the rest of the month i was at school etc..

february.

oooh february was the party month! there were several events and parties. i went out a lot with my friends and spend several weekends at my friend's flat. i also attended Lily's launch party in Helsinki.

march.

what happened then? i think i was very much into my studies and already planning the upcoming summer. nothing special..

april.

i went over to Helsinki for one weekend with my friends (we actually attended a proper occasion which has to do with our education), and i also went to see the sychro world championships.

may.

exams... uu and do you still remember that i got a new haircut!

june.

my new zealand girlie, yvette, flew over for twenty days! celebrated graduating friends, drove up to norway and dived into the arctic ocean. we also spend some time in helsinki. i started working after the midsummer party, and therefore divided my time between denmark, sweden and finland for five weeks.

july.

nights in copenhagen were great as well as my 19th birthday which i celebrated twice. i got completely hooked by satc, since i watched it every night in a hotel room.

august.

PARIS. you probly remember many piccies from paris, from that wonderful city i visited with two friends of mine... shopping, sightseeing, parties etc. a bit later i started the last year of IB. i bought a new canon..

september.

hmm in september it was the time to settle down here once again. i went out occasionally and said goodbye to the very girls as they took off to england. i got inked!

october.

went to helsinki for a weekend.. but quite soon i took off to england as well; four days in oxford and another set in london just to catch up with friends..

novermber.

ohh this was the low point of my year because school got really intense and honestly i stopped wearing any nice clothes, lacked social life etc.

december.

the same continued until the christmas holiday but now i'm super thankful for a great christmas once again. im more than ready to go shopping and see friends! ooh yes the girls returned to finland and im also gonna see other amazing ppl asap!

but you know.. christmas is wonderful but also very emotional; it has made me miss too many people!

Ooh yes I begun the christmas break today. One of my main aims is to get myself back on track, go shopping, find something new (arghh i kinda hate sales) etc. I did a quick turn at the local stores today while I was hunting for last minute presents and there was literally nothing. Thankfully I ordered a delightful salad and ooh yes some red wine to celebrate the end of the term with a friend of mine who is back in the hoods.
